After a little send off at My house the evening of Jan 1st we packed up the BMW's left on
Jan 2nd
Trevor took us to Omak Wash. with Bill Anleys Trailer and Stehpen Hirshs Truck. We Rented a 26' Budget truck to go to Scottsdale. The bike had tons of room and we had comfort for the last time in a few months in the cab of the big Desiel 3 ton. We called it the Govenator because it had a govenor on it at 60mph. We drove to Bosie Idaho the first day Jan 2nd late into the night then got up and did it again.
Jan 3rd
Going thru Salt Lake city. We took the old 89 hwy to Flaggstaff crossing the Grand Canyon at about middnight in a full moon Tara and I jumped up on the roof of the Truck while Greg Yelled into the Canyon. We could see for mile in the full moon. I was so bright we had alittle snow in the ditchs we probly could have rode the bikes . Driving into Flaggstaff is amazing
it had the most snow any where. 2' but no snow on the rodes anywhere but Washington. 6000 '
in flaggstaff you would never know you were in arizona it looks a lot like back home only beautiful red rock. Route 66 runs thru there real cowboy country feel. Jan 4th we left for Murray and Dorren Fairweathers in Suprise Arizona we were treated to the gift of hospitallity
at their hermosa casa.

We took our bike to Scottsdale BMW and got some parts and service. We were all ready to head out and Greg mentioned again that the oil leak he was having had seen him change head gaskets 2 times all ready thern the mechanic looked again and saw a hairline crack starting at the top of the cyl;inder head. Grande Problema! Scottsdale BMW is the largest in North America and has lots of pull with BMW so they pulled a brand new 07 of the showroom floor and 2 hours later were were back to Murray and Dorren's Casa.

I'm sitting in the BMW dealers in Scottsdale getting ready to head to Elpaso Texas this morning. Tomorrow we will meet with our buddy Julio and his Family in Chihuahua Mexico. Julio's Dad is loco about riding and will be riding with us this will be crazy. We also met Shane and Forest from Utah riding KTH 900's (Hey Ken!) they are going to South America Also. We swapped emails Skype addresses and told them we would meet up with them later. They are riding the West Coast to Guatamala and we are going the Gulf side of Mexico. We told them we might pass the Darien Gap with them in Panama. Can't wait to get out of the USA and into Mexico.
